adavu
is Fiji’s 4th largest
island, is south of Suva, Fiji’s
capitol, and is surrounded by coral
reefs. Dive Kadavu shares the
island with over 70 villages and 1
town, Vunisea, where there is a post
office, police station, boarding
school, and hospital. The island’s
airport
is near the town, and the resort is a
short boat ride from the airport.
Facing west, overlooking the ocean
with Mt. Washington in the distance,
spectacular sunsets at Dive Kadavu
are not uncommon. This evening
setting is shared with a maximum of
23 other guests, relaxing in the
elevated open-air dining area,
usually discussing the incredible
underwater world glimpsed earlier in
the day.
our
free time can be as relaxed or as

great snorkeling just off the beach,
and complementary kayaks, body
boards, and paddleboards are
available. Fishing can be arranged
either through the resort or the
local village. There is a bar
on the beach, as well as the elevated
lounge, and the library boasts
thousands of paperbacks, hard cover
books, and magazines. There is
even a self-serve ice machine!
ther
than the world class diving, many
other activities can be arranged
through the resort. Rainforest
or waterfall treks,
village
visits, and birding are all popular
diversions. There are several
bird species found only on Kadavu!
Beach picnics or kayak trips, sunset
cruises or snorkeling safaris, or
even custom adventures are no
problem.

A
brand new adventure from Dive Kadavu
is their Manta Ray Encounter!
Guests do an all day 3 x 2 tank
excursion and are served a true
Fijian style lunch in the local
village. Pre-paid guests can swap 4
of their prepaid dives for the all
day excursion, or just add it in on a

these dives and said it was just
amazing being in the water with

site he was at looked like a cleaning

Young" is a temporary state
of being, "Young" is a state
of mind you carry with you
throughout your life. While
Bob & Rena have long since
moved past being "young"
their little part of paradise
has been infused with their
youth. We thank goodness for
people like Bob & Rena having
the vision to create a place
where we can all rejuvenate
our spirits and youth.

The crew was fabulous and the
diving was awesome !! The Manta
dives on the first day
was diving of a lifetime. We
saw 6 mantas - turtles and we
did our 1st safety stop
watching 2 octopi copulating
for about 15 minutes. Bob -
Thanks for taking such good
care of us."

jokes. Special thanks for the
great final night performance

ecently
divers could hear a clicking
sound while on the dive, and when
they returned to the boat they found
the cause of the clicking was two
large humpback whales which could be
seen not too far from the dive boat.
The divers where thrilled!
his
week we have dived with an oceanic
hammerhead, several other species of
shark, blue ribbon eels, and...

Manta
Rays!
