"Will and Alex were
gracious, helpful and attentive to all details. They were
professional, flexible and courteous at all times.
Will and Alex exhibited confidence and love of diving as well as
care of the environment. They took extra care to explain
currents, aqua life and site specifics and emphasized safety for
both ourselves and the environment. We are very fortunate
to have been able to earn our certification under the watchful
eyes of Will and Alex."

" I consider myself
an experienced diver; having logged over 100 dives. I have
dived all over the world and had good and not so good experiences.
The dive staff and diving at Tokoriki is worth mentioning.
First of all every member of the team is friendly and
professional. It is all small group diving at Tokoriki, so
the dive staff are very personable, as well as flexible and
attentive to customer needs. I brought my own gear, and had
everything looked after. Each day I'd pitch up and
everything was assembled and on the dive boat. I did ten
dives, and did a mixture of coral reef diving, wreck and big fish
encounters, as well as the best night dive I've ever done!
The outstanding hard coral cover on many of the sites around
Tokoriki is some of the best I have seen. Even the home reef
has amazing coral cover! The dive guides have all had
training with Marine biologists and seem to know the name of every
fish and coral. They were very knowledgeable and this added
to the enjoyment of my diving at Tokoriki. I will certainly
be recommending Tokoriki to everyone. Thanks for amazing
memories."

"Did You See
That!"
Recent
underwater sightings and news from the Dive Shop...
A rare blue
coral thought to be extinct in the Fiji Island chain, has been
discovered on a reef off Tokoriki Island. Dive Tropex Tokoriki
and Di Walker, marine biologist and project manager of the
Mamanuca
Environment Society made the discovery only 5 minutes off the island
in 7 to 12 metres of water. These were found amidst unusually large
giant clams and massive corals. Experts have previously declared this
species extinct in Fiji.
“This is an
amazing discovery because this type of coral was found in fossil
deposits from the Miocene period in Vanuabalavu in Lau. It has a
beautiful sky blue skeleton, which is in stark contrast to the white
limestone skeleton of other hard corals. This is a great find,”
said Di Walker.
On recent dives at
the ‘Supermarket’ our guests have seen 3 species of sharks – white
tip, black tip and grey reef plus Napoleon Wrasse and there is a
resident school of chevron barracuda.
Big Spanish Mackerel are frequenting ‘Yadua Pinnacle’
and we have discovered a very rare Hippopus Giant Clam.
Saki's Reef: White Tip Reef Shark, Hawksbill turtle, USPI Rabbit
Fish (endemic sp), Ovalau Poison fang blennie (endemic species), Blue
Fiji Devil Damsel (endemic species), Blue Spotted Sting Ray, Giant
Moray eel, Palette Surgeon Fish (rare in these parts), white mouthed
moray eel, Long fin banner fish, Napoleon wrasse, egg shell anemone
shrimp, Clark’s anemone fish, dusky anemone fish, giant clams (squamosa
and maxima), Red Fin Lion Fish, Spider shells, Egg cowrie shells &
Garden Eels...along with all the usual damsel fish, parrot fish,
wrasses, triggers etc...this site boasts some of the best hard coral
around (see photograph)!
