ecognized
world wide as the site of both the
“Blue Lagoon” films, this 5 Star
resort is
designed for couples who enjoy
romantic picnics for two, intimate
moonlit dinners at seaside, horseback
riding at dawn, or relaxing and
sensual massages.
Although
Turtle only accommodates 14 couples
at any given time, there is a staff
of over 150 people on the island to
provide guests with an experience of
a lifetime.
Since it's opening in
1980,
Turtle Island has been
hailed as one of Fiji's (and the
world's) finest resorts.
our
personal guide to the island will be
your Bure Manager, assigned on your
arrival for the duration of your
stay.
Aside from housekeeping and
laundry
duties, your Bure Manager will
interact with you in many other ways.
If you like, they may accompany you
on a snorkeling tour, helping to
identify Fiji’s diverse marine
inhabitants, or join you on a tour of
the island. They can help you
choose a private beach for your
picnic, assist in the set up, and
return at the end of the picnic to
help pack up. With your
consent, your Bure Manager will
document your stay at
Turtle
Island with both movie and still
cameras, providing you with a
complimentary DVD and complete photo
album on your departure.
Needless to say, the relationships
forged between guests and their Bure
Managers can be exceptionally
rewarding.
The Bure Managers have received the
nickname "Bure Mamas" because of
their loving care to their guests...
Also on your first day your Bula
Buddy will make your acquaintance. In
the process of getting to know each
other, your Bula Buddy will make
notes about your likes and desires
for your stay. For instance, if you
mention a love of snorkeling, you
will mysteriously find snorkeling
gear in your bure! Your Bula Buddy
is there to take care of all your
adventurous desires.
here
are 14 incredible white sandy beaches
on the island, and you can schedule
private picnics on 8 of them. Choose
your picnic setting from naturally
occurring palm fringed beaches, some
adjacent to the living and dining
areas, or totally secluded, bounded
by high
cliffs
or set within a cove. Couples can
reserve a beach for the day and enjoy
a romantic picnic where a luncheon of
lobster and champagne (or
anything you prefer), will be dropped
off.
(A seven night package on
Turtle includes at least 2 private
beach picnics.)
These pleasures are
enhanced by the warmth and gracious
pampering of Turtle's Fijian staff
njoy
the ultimate romantic picnic on the
private dining raft in the lagoon at
sunset. The food is superb, and
the memories inspired by ribbons of
rose, gold, and amethyst reflected in
the water-from the tropical sky will
last a lifetime. Evening Dinner
Parties are served in a variety of
locations with cocktails at 7:30 pm
and dinner at 8:00 pm. The chef and
serenaders will visit your bure
starting at number one a little
before 7 pm to
inform you of the choices and
delights that await you for the
evening meal. If you would
prefer smaller portions, please
advise our chef. Alternatively, if
you are feeling particularly hungry,
just let us know. Either way, we are
happy to oblige. Our chefs cater to
any special dietary requirements such
as low fat, Pritikin, gluten-free,
vegetarian-- all you have to do is
let us know!
urtle’s
version of "Room Service"-- No

We
came for our wedding and fell in
love all over again. Everyone
from the staff to the guests made
our trip the most memorable
experience we have ever had.
Lisa and Otto Bergman -
Indianapolis, USA, December, 2007
Each time as wonderful as the
time before. Paradise - thanks to
all on the island for a special
time - Great guests and new
friends. Diana and Dean Banks
- Australia, December, 2007
Once again you have made our stay
absolutely heaven. Thank you so
much to our Turtle family, we
love all of you. Sand between our
toes, champagne and great friends
- it just doesn't get any better
than this. See you next year.
Elvin and Rhonda Hamlin - Hilo,
Hawaii, November, 2007
Once again, we will never find a
place on earth as beautiful as
Turtle or the staff as wonderful.
That is why we return year after
year - until we meet again - be
well. Tom and Karen Ditchey -
Clancy UT USA November,
2007
Our trip was all we imagined and
more. We had only been there 24
hours and we were already
planning our next trip to the
island. It exceeded our
expectations in every way. The
staff were wonderful, the food
and wine was all 5 star, the
scuba diving was unbelievable,
and the accommodations were
perfect. We also met many new
friends on the island and we're
already making plans to meet up
again soon. Gary and Katherine
Scherping, August 2007
Vinaka! Thank you so much for
making our holiday amazing.
Turtle Island really is one of a
kind. Until next time... Katie
and Steve Lang - Wellington, New
Zealand, July 2007
I
find it hard to come up with
enough words to describe our
week’s stay on Turtle Island.
From the moment, we stepped off
the seaplane, we were in love
with the Island. My husband
and I considered this the
vacation of a lifetime.

Fiji is world-renowned
for the fantastic beauty of its
underwater environment. Tropical fish
flash
through a blue heaven of ocean and
castles of roseate coral, which has
the
finest soft corals in the world. With
sightings as diverse as nudibranchs
to lionfish, and octopus to
stingrays, your time spent underwater
will leave lasting memories.
Virgin reefs and superb visibility,
along with hundreds of species of
fish are to be found only a 10-minute
boat ride from Turtle. (Diving
activities are provided through
Westside Watersports.)
