From the USA and North
America...
s
of April 2008, Air New Zealand will
be withdrawing their own flights from
LAX to Fiji, but will continue to
code-share (along with several other
carriers) with Air Pacific. Air
Pacific will be the sole carrier
flying non-stop between the United
States and Fiji. For the short
term (into May 2008) Air Pacific will
operate one flight a day to and from
Fiji on Sundays, Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Beginning in June an additional
flight will be added on Mondays,
leaving only Fridays when there are
no flights at all. Most flights
depart from Los Angeles (a few
originate in Honolulu), and you can
fly non-stop from LAX to Nadi, Fiji
in about 10.5 hours. Two meals
are served during the flight, and two
movies are shown. Alcoholic
beverages, soft drinks and fruit
juices are complimentary, and all
flights are non-smoking.
Air
Pacific (Fiji's International
carrier)
lights
depart Los Angeles in the late
evening, arriving Nadi in the early
morning 2 calendar days later, after
crossing the International Dateline.
Return flights depart Nadi in the
late evening and arrive Los Angeles
in the early afternoon on the same
day (before they left Nadi!). Flights
are non-stop in both directions. All
flights are non-smoking. Air Pacific
also offers a flight departing from
Honolulu very early Monday morning,
arriving Nadi early Tuesday morning,
and returning in the afternoon Monday
(arriving early the same morning).
