Beqa Island
Beqa Lagoon Resort
Situated just 6 miles from the main island of Viti Levu, Marlin Bay
is the only resort on the legendary Beqa Island. Their 12 nicely appointed
Bures are scattered among coconut and papaya trees, and front a private
beach on Beqa Lagoon. The Bure Koloa is the centre of resort life
with its soaring thatched roof reaching more than 80 feet above an
expansive verandah. It is here that guests gather for gourmet dining,
liquid refreshment, fun, conversation and planning the next day’s
adventure.
Included
in the rates are the full use of paddle canoes, windsurfers, picnic
and boat trips to a secluded island, and unlimited use of snorkeling
equipment. In fact, all resort activities (except scuba and game fishing)
are included in their daily tariffs. A new swimming pool with waterfall
has just been completed.
Lalati Resort
Exclusive, stunning and remote, yet easily accessible, Lalati Resort
is nestled peacefully on Malumu Bay, Beqa Island. But excitement is
not far away.
Beqa Lagoon provides the world-class dive sites which divers normally
only read about in magazines, and surfing the world famous Frigate's
Pass is a dream come true for the avid surfer (both activities are
included in the rates!). Open air dining prepared by Christian, the
resident Austrian chef, renowned for decadent desserts and original
Pacific Rim cuisine, is an experience not to be missed. The beautiful,
tropical gardens, abundant with scented flowers, verdant foliage and
flowering trees, invite you to enjoy a lazy swing on a hammock or
a refreshing drink on your verandah. There are five private deluxe
beachfront bures, each with two open airy rooms and a large bathroom
are of modern construction in the traditional Fijian architecture,
incorporating intricate weavings and elaborate matting on the thirty
feet high ceilings.
